Today was an event that gives new perspectives to our Alliance. Yuriy Maslov became the Chairman of the Lower Danube Basin Council for the second time. This is not just an election, but a strategic step marked by numerous opportunities.
It ensures that our interests and views are taken into account at every stage of addressing important issues. The Alliance is becoming a significant player in the processes of European integration and international cooperation through the implementation of the European Union’s Danube Strategy. This opens up new opportunities for interaction and exchange of experience at the global level.
The Alliance’s values also include addressing environmental issues. As Yuriy Maslov noted: “the issue of water resources is always at the forefront, especially in the context of global warming and war. Environmental challenges related to land reclamation, water supply and sewerage require urgent attention.”
We support this decisive step and are confident that it will lead to significant positive changes for our country.
