Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance joined the development of the Center for Civic Engagement in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv youth, especially internally displaced persons, face a number of challenges: social isolation, limited opportunities for non-formal education and minimal involvement in civic initiatives. The pandemic, and later the great war, led to social isolation, loss of motivation, deterioration of psycho-emotional state and alienation from society. The Raketne tract neighborhood has become one of the most vulnerable, as there is virtually no appropriate infrastructure for young people.

That is why, together with representatives of the City of Power NGO, the Right to Protection CF, and the Responsible Citizens NGO, we are working on the project of the Community Activity Center. The center will become a rallying point where young people will find opportunities for development, socialization, and support. Here, everyone will be able to unleash their potential, learn something new, and get help in difficult times.

The development of this project became possible thanks to participation in the Citizen Academy training program from the International Republican Institute and USAID. The program provided us with a methodological framework and support for effective planning.

Together we are creating conditions for everyone to be able to move forward, regardless of the circumstances.
