During Ukraine Week, the US-Ukraine Partnership Forum was held to discuss deepening cooperation between the United States and Ukraine. The event was attended by high-ranking government officials, entrepreneurs, representatives of the clergy and NGOs, including representatives of the Alliance for the Restoration of Ukraine.
“Ukrainian Week has two strategic goals: to promote Ukraine’s interests in times of war and to establish a strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States,” said Pavlo Ungurian, Chairman of the Alliance’s Board of Trustees.
We were especially pleased to see the delegation from South Korea, whose meeting with ambassadors and patrons of the arts was held at the Ukrainian House. The meeting was also attended by our friend and former Ambassador of South Korea to Ukraine Lee Young-gu, who noted that the experience of South Korea’s post-war reconstruction, which took place with the support of the United States, is very relevant for Ukraine.
“I believe that Ukraine now has a unique opportunity to repeat the path of South Korea,” he stressed.
The South Korean partners emphasise that they are ready to continue investing in Ukraine’s reconstruction. We discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in recovery projects: construction and infrastructure projects, humanitarian aid, and ensuring a favourable environment for investment. The trilateral meeting led to a concrete result – an agreement on partnership between Ukraine, South Korea and the United States.
