The Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance spoke at the South Korean parliament

The event was held as part of the Korea Ukraine New Building Association (KUNBA) conference, which discussed donor assistance and the role of the Korean government and companies in rebuilding Ukraine.

Yuriy Maslov, Chairman of the Board of the Alliance, shared exciting news about an important stage of cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea:

“Of all the countries of the Far East, the Koreans are probably the closest to us in terms of their mentality: open, emotional, European. They are genuinely interested in Ukraine: key ministers and members of parliament, business and bank representatives came to the representative conference of the Korea Ukraine New Building Association (KUNBA) to listen to us. Our Korean colleagues were particularly interested in information about the implementation of new building technologies and R&D, and the need to finance human capital.”

The event was jointly organised by KUAN, the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was designed to discuss Ukraine’s post-war recovery and reconstruction projects, as well as various opportunities for cooperation. The event was attended by about 400 people, including CEOs interested in participating in Ukraine’s reconstruction project, as well as the government, local authorities, state institutions, and trade associations.

The conference culminated in the signing of a memorandum between Yuriy Maslov, Chairman of the Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance, and Lee Young Lu, Chairman of the Korean-Ukrainian New Buildings Association. The memorandum envisages the establishment of cooperation between Ukrainian and Korean entrepreneurs in the field of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Ukraine.

“Participation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine will be a testing ground for Korea to test its will and ability to become a global key country by spreading values,” said Lee Young-lu.

Representatives of various industries in South Korea are ready to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery. This is an important event that further unites our countries.
