Security issue: The US supports Odesa region

Recently, the Alliance for Restoring Ukraine visited the United States, where one of the most significant events in recent times – Ukrainian Week 2024 – was held. Ukrainian Week is an important platform for establishing ties with foreign partners and promoting open international dialogue.

We were delighted to see our friends – Lee Young Lu, Chairman of the Korean-Ukrainian New Buildings Association, U.S. Senator James Lankford, and Kurt Volker, former U.S. State Department Special Representative for Ukraine.

“Only recently we worked together with Kurt Volker in Washington on security issues – and today he is back in Odesa! We had a fruitful working meeting with the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, and discussed direct assistance in providing air defence equipment for Odesa region, mine clearance in the Black Sea and free navigation,” said Veniamin Ungurian, Deputy Chairman of the Alliance.

Kurt reaffirmed his systematic support for Ukraine’s recovery process, as well as lobbying for Ukraine’s interests in the United States for its further integration into NATO.
