Odesa on the road to recovery: key meetings and development prospects

Today, as part of the Odesa Economic Revival Forum, international delegations visited the city, including Kurt Volker, former U.S. State Department Special Representative for Ukraine and former Advisor to the Under Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department, Mr. Thomas Dance.

As part of this day, we organized and attended a number of important events. The first of them was aimed at the active youth of Odesa, where we discussed the importance of their participation in the restoration of Ukraine and the development of the city. The discussions focused on the immersion of young people in the social and political life of Odesa and ensuring sustainable development in the future.

Before that, during the second meeting, we raised the issue of security of Ukrainian seaports and the grain corridor. Our foreign partners analyzed the latest data on the state of protection of seaports and the protection of the sea corridor.

At the end of the day, we met with Odesa entrepreneurs who are actively supporting the city’s economic defense. Many of them produce drones or support military units, creating jobs and strengthening the local economy.

“We must invest as much as possible in the private sector, attract international companies and develop green energy. This will not only ensure the stability of our economy, but will also be our advantage in the process of integration into the European Union. Only clear strategies and ambitious goals will help Ukraine win the war and become a leader in Eastern Europe,” said Veniamin Unguryan, Deputy Chairman of Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance.
