In the city of Odesa, the Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the public organization “Research Institute of Biotechnology, Ecology, Molecular and Functional Medicine.” The document formalizes the parties’ intention to develop long-term cooperation in the fields of scientific and technological innovation, ecological transformation of the economy, and the sustainable recovery of Ukraine.
The memorandum was signed by Yurii Maslov, Chairman of the Board of the Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance and Yurii Starchevskyi, Director of the Research Institute of Biotechnology, Ecology, Molecular and Functional Medicine.
Within the framework of the partnership, the parties plan to work jointly on the development of a low-carbon economy, renewable energy, and technologies for the decarbonization of industry, energy, and the agricultural sector. Additional areas of cooperation include the development of biotechnology, NBIC directions, innovations in sustainable agriculture, and the implementation of modern environmental solutions.
The partners also plan to implement projects in the field of climate policy, ESG approaches, the development of climate finance systems, and carbon markets. Among the promising areas of cooperation are research into new energy technologies, the development of the hydrogen economy, and the application of digital environmental monitoring tools based on satellite data, big data, and artificial intelligence.
A separate area of cooperation will focus on the implementation of modern biomedical and rehabilitation technologies aimed at improving the quality of life of veterans and developing a network of innovative rehabilitation centers.
The signing of the memorandum creates a foundation for the development of joint scientific and technological projects, the formation of innovation clusters, and cooperation platforms between science, business, and communities for the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s economy.
