Infrastructure Recovery, Sustainable Solutions, and International Cooperation

Over the past few weeks, our team has held a series of meaningful meetings with the leadership of the Odesa City Council, the Recovery and Infrastructure Development Service in Odesa Oblast, and representatives of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City of Mykolaiv.

The focus was on infrastructure recovery, housing provision, and engagement with international partners—particularly representatives of Austrian businesses specializing in circular construction, soil stabilization, and sustainable engineering solutions. These meetings marked an initial introduction to the Ukrainian market, with preliminary consultations on regulatory frameworks, certification requirements, and potential formats of cooperation.

We discussed specific case studies involving the reuse of construction materials and the transformation of demolition waste into full-fledged raw materials for new structures. Special attention was paid to soil stabilization technologies that significantly reduce time and costs in the design and construction phases.

A separate block of discussion concerned potential pilot projects in Odesa region, including selected sites for transport infrastructure, bridges, and other facilities that could be implemented using new approaches. The importance of the Danube bridge was also raised, as a critical element of national logistics amid limited cross-border connectivity in the southern region.

We are grateful to all parties for a constructive dialogue and openness to joint work.
