eOselya as a tool for Ukraine’s recovery

A working meeting was held with representatives of Ukrfinzhytlo, which was attended by most construction companies and banks in Odesa. The topical issue of mortgage lending through the state programme eOselya was discussed.

Since its inception, almost 7,000 families have already been able to purchase housing. In Odesa, this is only 314 families and the seventh largest number of loans in Ukraine. It is planned to issue another 12,000 loans in 2024.

“A positive initiative from the regional state administration is the compensation of the interest rate from the regional budget for privileged categories of borrowers (scientists, military personnel, doctors and teachers). The first 82 participants have already received it, and potentially another 300 borrowers will be able to do so by 2024. This will undoubtedly boost the housing market in Odesa,” said Yuriy Maslov, Chairman of the Alliance for Restoration of Ukraine.

Partial compensation programmes are already available in seven regions of Ukraine. “We see eOselya as a unique digital product that strengthens the market by promoting the development of the construction industry and meeting the demand of buyers. However, it faces the problem of regional development due to the low involvement of banking institutions.

“For me, as the head of the Alliance for Restoration of Ukraine and a member of the supervisory board of one of the largest construction holdings, it is important to see more interest from banks in the product. It is only through public efforts that we can boost the region’s construction market,” added the Alliance’s chairman.
