Ensuring transparency in Ukraine’s reconstruction

As Ukraine confronts the consequences of the war, it is demanding transparency and accessibility in the reconstruction process. Studies show that Ukrainians consider corruption in this area to be a major threat. Therefore, it is crucial to create mechanisms for open communication and involvement of citizens in the reconstruction process.

In the context of its integration into the EU, Ukraine should focus its efforts on internal transformations, starting with the transparency of the use of funds for its own reconstruction. This will allow it to become a leader in the Eastern European macro-region for business and investment in the future.

The key to this process will be transparent mechanisms for controlling the costs of construction companies and the effective use of international financing. For this purpose, Ukraine has launched the state electronic ecosystem DREAM, which provides a digital route for all reconstruction projects and public control over their implementation. In addition, Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance of has prioritized the analysis of reconstruction to implement an effective system of monitoring expenditures and procurement.

National reconstruction requires full transparency and openness. The creation of a single digital space for recovery information will strengthen community control and ensure efficient use of resources. Together we are building a transparent future for Ukraine.
